About the show: Audrey and I Consider Our Assets is new Australian musical which will premiere at the Melba Spiegeltent in Collingwood in October 2015. It will be performed with a 5 piece band and a choir.
The story: Set in Melbourne, the lead character Liz O’Sullivan is obsessed with Hollywood movies and everything Audrey Hepburn. In fact she wishes she was Audrey. After a relationship breakup, Liz finds herself forced into therapy by her over protective family. Liz’s therapist is Rod, a very handsome man who bares a striking resemblence to Hollywood heartthrob Rock Hudson. Liz finds herself falling deeply for him, and can’t commit to marriage with Len her current partner. One day Audrey Hepburn suddenly appears in Rod’s office offering Liz advice on love, therapy and how to find a real man. Audrey reminds Liz to ‘Never trust a wild thing!’ Audrey Hepburn and I Consider Our Assets is written by Gayelene Carbis; based on her original play; Co-Written and adapted by Noel Anderson, Geoff Main and Cerise De Gelder
