Melbourne Theatre Company brings Williams’ classic, “A Streetcar Named Desire,” to life with “vigueur et énergie” and a modern-day twist.

Together, Norma and Joe make unlikely lovebirds, which is exactly what’s needed for this dark tale about Hollywood to weave its magic spell.

The downside is life is short and has to end. The upside is it comes with bread, wine and books 📚

It’s a winning show that makes for a lively night out.

Instead of men pontificating while wearing togas, we get a stage full of women of all ages and body shapes.
