“Holy moly, this is your backstage pass to ‘rehearsals’ of my new comedy/thriller ‘Billy Loves Cha Cha Forever! Set in Sydney’s infamous Kings Cross 1968, BLCCF tells the bittersweet tale of a glamorous showgirl (Cha Cha), a young happy hooker (Billy) and the local pimp (Louis). Throw into the mix a suitcase of stolen money 💰 and you have the perfect recipe for murder. With more than a nod to Alfred Hitchcock, BLCCF has more frocks than Priscilla Queen of the desert, and more plot twists than the stage play Sleuth. Just add the ‘MacGuffin’ and stir for a great night out. Enjoy your exclusive backstage pass to rehearsals! See everyone at the show.” – Writer & Director Noel Anderson

BLCCF had its world premiere at Cracked Actors Theatre on 22nd April, as part of the Midsumma Festival 2021.

STRANGER THINGS 👠
You know those moments where you say pinch me I’m dreaming? What I call f@&k me dead moments, well I’ve had a few over the years. Back in 2015 my play “Andy Warhol’s Fifteen Minutes of Fame ” was performed alongside Andy Warhol’s original artwork at the Jewish Museum of Australia. It sold out. I remember thinking back then, well f&@k me dead! How the hell did that happen? I was chuffed. I had a similar thing happen recently when I was looking for a theme song for my new show “Billy Loves Cha Cha Forever!” I looked everywhere, but no luck. And then, you guessed it, a f@&k me dead moment. One of my first theatrical outings as a kid was seeing The Rocky Horror Picture Show in Sydney. I loved it. “I see you shiver with anticipation!” I remember seeing a bloke called Daniel Abineri performing Frank-N-Furter. He was brilliant! (He’s performed the role over 3000 times on stage around the globe) Well, guess who has written the theme song for my lead character Cha Cha to perform in “Billy Loves Cha Cha Forever?” Holy moly, you guessed it! A F$&k Me Dead Moment! – Cheers Noel ❤️

“In today’s rehearsal of Billy Loves Cha Cha Forever, I talked about the MacGuffin in the script! Of course, one of the most famous directors in the world, Alfred Hitchcock, often used a MacGuffin in many of his famous films including Rear Window, Vertigo and Psycho. Don’t know what a MacGuffin is? Well, grab a ticket for Billy Loves Cha Cha and find out!” – writer / Director Noel Anderson
